Washing and Bathing Sunnah Remedy for the Evil Eye
Context & Islamic Significance
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'The evil eye is a fact, and if there were anything to outstrip the divine decree, it would be the evil eye. And when you are asked to wash, then wash.' (Sahih Muslim 2188). If the person who cast the evil eye is known, asking them to perform ablution and pouring that water over the afflicted person is directly established in the authentic Sunnah as an effective ruqyah and healing.

🌿How to Perform (According to Sunnah)
When someone is suspected of having cast the evil eye, it is Sunnah to gently ask them to perform ablution without resentment. They wash their face, hands, elbows, knees, and inner garment into a vessel. That water is then poured over the head of the afflicted person from behind in one pour (Muwatta Malik 1714, Sahih). In addition, recite Surah Al-Fatihah, Al-Falaq, and An-Nas. Never resort to amulets or superstitions.
Important Safety & Shariah Note
Ruqyah is a means of seeking Allah's protection and healing; it does not replace medical care. Always consult qualified healthcare professionals for illnesses. Never wear amulets/talismans or visit fortune-tellers/sorcerers.

The Prophet ﷺ said: 'The evil eye is real. If anything were to overtake destiny, it would be the evil eye' (Muslim 2188). Ruqyah completely neutralizes the harmful effects of jealousy and admiration, and Angel Jibril performed ruqyah over the Prophet ﷺ for this.
Quranic Healing & Protection from Envy (Hasad)
Envy is a destructive spiritual disease wherein one wishes for the deprivation of another's blessing. In Surah Al-Falaq, Allah explicitly commands seeking refuge from the envier: 'And from the evil of an envier when he envies' (113:5). These Quranic verses serve as a potent divine shield and general healing against the malevolence of envy.
